Vertebra Vase

A form built the way the body is built — segment by segment, stacked to hold weight.

Carved from black marble, Vertebra takes its name from the ribbed collar that crowns a single tapered column — a rhythm of rings echoing bone, spine, structure. The polish catches light along each ridge while the marble’s natural veining moves through the base in pale, unrepeatable streaks.

It’s a vessel built on contrast: the discipline of the ringed form against the wildness of the stone beneath it. Structure and material, negotiating.
